I stumbled on this video and when I started watching it, couldn't stop. If Nikon had released the D500 earlier, I would most likely have upgraded my D300 to it and never tried Fuji. In my opinion, this video does a nice comparison and highlights advantages of both bodies.

Nice review, if I was in the market now I'd choose the XT-2. But man Nikon really screwed up. If they had come out with the D400 aka D500 in a timely manner they'd have sold a ton of them including one to me. Now that I have had a big drink of the Fuji x-trans Kool-Aid I ain't going back to Nikon for an apsc camera. Yes the Fuji x-trans tastes that good to me. :D

If i only view it with my interests in mind the Fuji wins.

If I was to buy a SLR again the D500 would be high on my list.

IMHO it is the best crop sensor DSLR out there. If I was still shooting race & rally cars I'd have to get one. Although an XT-2 might be good enough for that use. As it is the XT-1 works very well for what I do. :)
