I no longer recommend Panasonic Looks like that may change

    If things change I will update this thread. When I first had a 100-400 it had an internal failure at about 11 months, Panasonic exchanged it and I sang their praises. I now wonder if they exchanged because they don't repair lenses.
    Ok if it fails within the 12 month warranty period but what about at 13 months and what about if you have an accident with it?

    This is not me spitting my dummy out about any treatment Ihave received its a warning as to the support or lack of support policy from Panasonic.

    I was tempted to get the Panasonic 8-18 but having see the comments on the linked threads you posted. I have changed my mind.

    For something that expensive I would expect a professional support service. They don't seem to care.

    I have had no problems with Panasonic whatsoever.......

    Have you needed a lens repair? I am not talking about Panasonic in general but the specific area of lens repair.
