Looks like a very nice camera. We will see once reviews start coming on line. Maybe I'll buy one in a couple of years when the price drops low enough for my old fart budget to be able to afford a used one.

I was totally planning on skipping a generation as I told @Matt C until I saw the full coverage phase detect, the pre-shooting and blackout free. And then bluetooth and the EVF going from 2.36 million dots to 3.69? Darn you Fuji-san.

Looks like being an excellent camera. If they had included IBIS without much size and weight increase I would have bought one.

I really don't miss IBIS. None of my DSLR's had it either.

I own a tamron 90mm macro in sony a mount which I use on my Sony A6500. I can handhold this with IBIS @ 1/5th of a sec and the pics are razor sharp. Horses for courses:)

That Tammy 90mm is a vastly underrated lens.

Just in case you reconsider. From DPReview: "For a lot of people, myself included, the APS-C format lends itself to offering a well-rounded range of video and stills capabilities. And with the X-T3, it's possible that Fujfilm has released the camera to wrestle-away the D500's APS-C crown."

While i dont doubt its a vast improvement and it may come close but after owning and using a D500 for BIF it wont give its crown up easily.

I was surprised by the comment, too. Pretty bold statement which I just shake my head at. Every camera has different strengths - and weaknesses.

If I was still shooting motor-sport I'd own a D500 & fast long glass. Since I don't the XT-2 is the camera for me. I have no doubt that the XT-3 is better at AF than the XT-2, but it is still good enough for me.
