Olympus 40-150 f2.8 pro and 1.4 TC

    Early days yet of looking for a 100-400 replacement if i change direction later in the year,this sounds like an interesting lens 80-300 f2.8 or 112-420 f4 FOVs, may start saving.

    It is certain an amazing thing the lens with the converter. But about a bit on the pricey side for me as a hobbyist.

    Its about the same as the 100-400 which it would replace if i got it.

    Dont know i was only stood out side the shop, it will not be good for small or distant birds as its only 210mm compared with the 400mm i have now

    Just a little concerned about this lens, look at the OOF areas in the background, the double edge is a characteristic of the lens

    i keep my 49-150 kit for my uses. I am not convinced to buy a 40-150 2.8.

    But maybe I will get a 75-300 oly

    At the moment the 100-400 is packed up waiting for the shop to open,i looked at a lot of images from this lens last night and the bad Bokeh looks to be only when you have shiny highlights in the background, 95% of the time it looks good.
