XT-2 prices are in freefall. Will probably purchase when I think the price has bottomed out and then wait for the x-t4.

I am happy with my current gear. I think of getting a new lens rather a new body. But if my 10 mark2 is dead I wanna buy an Olympus again.

Wonder if this situation will tempt Sigma and Tamron to develop longer lenses.

For me, the nikon and the new canon are way over priced for the everyday normal person, £2700 for the nikon z6 and £4000 for the z7 (both with lens)

if you want full frame you could get a Sony Alpha A7 Mark II for £1400 brand new with lens, maybe not as good as the nikon or canon, but hell of a lot cheaper.

Plus there is more non-adapted glass for Sony. Canon and Nikon will be playing catchup for a while.

Every 6 months to a year, there's always something "new and better". To me, it feels like..........

I just use your quotes noting to do with you dear Ted or any members here.

The cameras are getting better, the lenses getting better, but the skills of some "Photographers" remind the same. I think if photographer can't catch up with better gears the photos are getting worse.

I'm with you, except I bought my XT-2 before they bottomed out, saved $1,000. I waited as long as I could, I really did. ;) I'll probably cave in & buy an XT-3 when the XT-4 is around the corner.

Heck I'll buy that new Nikon 1 V4 as soon as they announce it. o_O
